This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Find Fit People collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use findfitpeople.com and related services (the "Platform") to discover and book fitness experiences, events and trips. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Cancellation & Refund Policy. By using the Platform, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Who we are
Find Fit People is operated by Find Fit People LLC-FZ, registered at Meydan Hotel, Meydan, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For the purposes of this Policy, Find Fit People LLC-FZ is the "data controller" of your personal data — meaning we determine how and why your data is processed. 2. Scope of this policy
This Policy applies to all visitors and users of the Platform. It covers data collected through the website, our communications with you, and in connection with bookings you make. It does not cover the privacy practices of independent providers, event organisers or other third parties, who operate under their own privacy policies — we encourage you to review them.
3. Personal data we collect
3.1 Data you provide directly
- Account information — name, email address, mobile number, and your city and country
- Booking information — the experiences, events and trips you book, participant numbers and any details you provide for a booking
- Member content — reviews, ratings, photos and comments you post
- Payment information — card details are entered directly into our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers; we receive only confirmation of payment and a Stripe reference
- Communications — the content of any emails, WhatsApp messages or support requests you send us
3.2 Data we generate about your use of the Platform
- Your bookings, saved (hearted) items, and booking history
- Whether you are an active FFP Passport member, used to apply eligible member pricing
3.3 Data collected automatically
- Device and technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, timezone and approximate location derived from IP
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, time spent, and referral source
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 10
3.4 Data we receive from third parties
- Payment confirmation from Stripe (transaction reference, payment method type, last four digits of card, billing country)
- Your shared account profile from the FFP ecosystem (see Section 6)
4. How we use your data
- To run your account — create and secure it, and sign you in with an email code
- To process bookings — confirm and manage your bookings with the relevant provider
- To process payments and refunds — via Stripe
- To apply member pricing — where you are an active FFP Passport member
- To send service communications — booking confirmations, in-app notifications, receipts, and security alerts
- To send marketing communications — about new listings, events and features, where you have consented or applicable law permits
- To improve and develop the Platform — analyse usage, debug issues, build new features
- To protect the community — investigate misconduct, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms
- To comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests from competent authorities
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data under the UAE's Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR and UK GDPR for members in those jurisdictions. The legal bases we rely on are: performance of a contract (to provide bookings and services you request); consent (for marketing and certain cookies, which you can withdraw at any time); legitimate interests (to improve the Platform, ensure security, prevent fraud and defend legal claims, balanced against your rights); and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law).
6. Who we share data with
We share your personal data only where necessary, and only with parties bound by appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
6.1 Service providers
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — database, authentication and storage
- Netlify and Vercel — website and application hosting
- Resend and other email providers — transactional and member emails
- Analytics providers — usage analytics and performance monitoring
6.2 Providers, to fulfil your booking — when you book, we share the details the provider needs to deliver it (typically your name, contact details and participation details).
6.3 The FFP ecosystem — Find Fit People shares one account system with FFP Passport, so your profile and membership status are consistent across FFP services.
6.4 Other members — content you choose to post, such as a review and the name attached to it, may be visible to other users.
6.5 Legal and safety — we may disclose data where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with the law, respond to a lawful request, or protect the rights, property or safety of Find Fit People, our users or the public.
6.6 Corporate transactions — if Find Fit People is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued protection under this Policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. International data transfers
Find Fit People is based in the United Arab Emirates, but some of our service providers store and process data in other countries, including the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States. When we transfer personal data outside the UAE, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as relying on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or processor commitments under the GDPR where applicable.
8. How long we keep your data
- Active account data — kept for the life of your account and a reasonable period afterwards
- Payment and booking records — retained for the period required by UAE accounting, tax and anti-money-laundering law (typically seven years)
- Communications — retained for as long as needed to resolve any related issue and defend potential legal claims
- Member content — remains until you remove it or close your account, after which we may keep backups for a limited period
- Anonymous or aggregated data — may be retained indefinitely in a form that does not identify you
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the UAE PDPL, GDPR or UK GDPR), you have the right to: access the data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data (many fields you can update yourself on your account page); request erasure, subject to legal retention requirements; ask us to restrict processing; request portability of your data; object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office or your local authority. To exercise any right, email hello@findfitpeople.com. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity first.
10. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, understand how the Platform is used, and improve our services. These include strictly necessary cookies (for sign-in and security), preference cookies (to remember your settings), and analytics cookies (to understand usage). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.
11. Children's privacy
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact hello@findfitpeople.com and we will delete it.
12. Data security
We use a combination of organisational and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, payment handling by PCI-DSS compliant providers (Stripe — we never store full card numbers), row-level access controls, and regular review of our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach likely to risk your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, the law, or how we process data. The current version is always available at findfitpeople.com/privacy, with the update date shown above.
